How to create and use a QR code
What is a QR code?
Creating and using a QR code (aka quick response code) gives people access to your JustGiving page, without them having to type in the URL. A QR code can be scanned with the camera on your phone, and it takes you to a web page, such as your own JustGiving page.
Why use a QR code?
QR codes are a quick way to direct people to your JustGiving page and make cashless donations that bit easier! You can print them on posters to display at your wear it pink events or on a collection box if people don't have cash.
How do I create a QR code?
Creating your own QR code is easy! Simply add /qrcode to the end of your JustGiving page link and press enter. For example, if my page is www.justgiving.com/fundraising/MrsFundraiser add the /qrcode at the end and click enter.
Once your code is created, save this as an image, by right-clicking and selecting ‘save image as’. Or if you’re doing this on your phone, screenshot the image and it will appear in your photos. You can then share the code on social media, print it and stick it up at your event or put it anywhere you think people will see it.
How do I use the code?
On most phones, you simply open the camera and point it at the QR code. Wait a couple of seconds and it should pop up with the link to the page.
