The wear it pink team have managed to track down the elusive Gift Aid to answer all your questions about what Gift Aid is and why it's so important.
Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Let me introduce myself – my name is Gift Aid! You may have already heard of me, but just in case you haven’t, I allow all UK charities to claim back the tax paid on donations, with no extra cost to you. In short, I make your donation can go even further to fund Breast Cancer Now’s vital research.
How can you help us raise even more money?
With Gift Aid, you can increase the value of your charity donation by 25% without spending another penny. This means Breast Cancer Now can claim an extra 25p for every £1 of your donation – amazing, right? You just need to be a UK taxpayer to claim.
How can I claim this extra money?
With one of my Gift Aid forms, of course! You can find the form in your fundraising pack or download them from our resources section. It's quick and simple to fill out – just add in your full name, address, postcode, gift amount and gift date and you’re done. Most importantly, don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid box otherwise Breast Cancer Now can’t claim the extra cash.
